Battery-Mod Documentation is now getting a tradition in this wiki ;-)

Problem

  • 1More E1001BT is a great Bluetooth Headset supporting LDAC
  • It's Battery runtime was only 5h when new and goes up barely to 4 hours nowaydays
  • It comes with a measly 160mAh Battery
  • Which is sad, as the casing perfectly fits a 300mAh Battery
  • so let's exchange the battery

All the Parts

The battery hides in the silver tube without the button. After loosening the glue with a knife between the silver part and the red ring, the silver part can be wiggled off. Of course the force ripped the battery cables right off, but that was fine.

300mAh Battery fits perfectly fine

Preparing shrink tube

connecting new battery

All done - it works

A bit of superglue and voila, everything is fine again.

Of course I forgot the red ring after soldering the wires. But no worries, I just cut it in half and bent it in longitudinal direction. That way I could put the wires through and re-bend it into shape just by sliding the silver part on.
